Endocrine System: 67 y/o man with headache and weakness
Clinical Presentation:
67 year old Caucasian man presents with complaints of headache, fatigue and weakness. He has had these symptoms for the past 4 months. He has no history of renal or gastrointestinal disease, denies vomiting or diarrhea and has had good appetite. On physical examination, his blood pressure was elevated to 200/120. Laboratory tests revealed a sodium level of 141 meq/l, potassium of 3.1 meq/l. Urinalysis revealed low urine specific gravity with decreased sodium and elevated potassium levels.
