- To build and awareness of differences and similarities between groups as well as individuals
- To find common ground as well as enriching differences of style, perception and perspectives
- To enhance appreciation for people who are "different" and help them work comfortably with a variety of individuals

- Why diversity contributes to excellence at Johns Hopkins
- Explain why you perceive the world the way that you do based on the Perceptual Identity model
- Explain the impact of the unconscious on perceptions of diversity
- Create a specific action plan on what you will do to contribute to a positive, civil, and respectful work and learning environment at Johns Hopkins.
