Dr. Burger Receives 2007 Fred Stewart Award

Peter Burger, M.D. received the 2007 Fred Stewart Award from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. As a part of receiving this award Peter gave a lively talk with humorous anecdotes on his career as a book author. Congratulations to Second Year Hopkins Pathology Resident Dr. Julie Wu!

Dr. Wu received the prestigious Stowell-Orbison Award for her poster presentation, "Heterogeneity of Breast Cancer Metastases: A Rapid-Autopsy Study Using Matched Primary-Metastasis Tissue Microarrays (TMAs)", at the 2007 United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology Annual Meeting in San Diego California on March 26, 2007. The award is given to pathologists-in-training who present the best papers through the medium of a poster presentation. Click here for Dr. Wu's abstract

Pedram Argani to receive the 2007 Arthur Purdy Stout Prize

Congratulations to Dr. Pedram Argani. Dr. Argani will receive the 2007 Arthur Purdy Stout Prize at the the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology meeting in San Diego. The prize recognizes significant career achievements in Surgical Pathology by young surgical pathologists whose research publications have had a major impact on diagnostic pathology. Dr. Argani will receive this prestigious award Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the meeting of the Arthur Purdy Stout Society.
