DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY YOUNG INVESTIGATORS' DAY

Dear Faculty, Fellows, Residents, Graduate Students and Medical Students:

We are pleased to announce the 13th Annual Department of Pathology Young Investigators' Day, to be held on Wednesday, April 6th, from Noon - 4:00 p.m. in the Turner Concourse. This important event provides residents, fellows, and students with the opportunity to showcase their clinical, basic, or translational research efforts. This activity allows faculty, fellows, residents, and students to learn more about the diverse ongoing research in our department. Please read the NOTICE below regarding registration.

Research Day will again take the format of a poster session. All fellows, residents, graduate students and medical students working with a faculty member who holds an appointment in the Department of Pathology are invited to submit abstracts and present posters at the poster session. Participation is required of any fellow or resident who has presented or will be presenting their work in any format at a national meeting prior to April 6, 2011. Preliminary or published data in the areas of Basic Research, Translational Research and Clinical Research may be presented. Awards will be given for the best poster in each of these areas for House Staff, Fellows and Students, as recommended by a panel of faculty judges. A reception to honor our trainees and their mentors will be held during the poster session from 1:00- 4:00p.m. in the Turner Concourse.
