Fields of Study and Research

The Graduate Program in Pathobiology provides students with opportunities to probe the mechanisms and origins of human disease through an integrative approach emphasizing systemic processes and their molecular and cellular pathologic underpinnings. Students are prepared for academic research, teaching, and biotechnology careers in one of seven programmatic areas: Cellular & Molecular Pathology; Immunopathology; Microbiology & Infectious Disease; Neoplasia; Neuropathology; and Cardiovascular Disease.
