Background

The Foundation was formed in 2002, with the proceeds from its first fundraising event to start a pancreatic cancer research endowment at Johns Hopkins in honor of Kaz Zgonina. Proceeds were also used to help start a new pancreatic cancer research lab at Hopkins for a talented young physician-scientist, Christine Iacobuzio-Donahue, M.D., Ph.D.
