Specimen Requirements
Villi
Minimum 25 mg of villi required; place in transport media provided; store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE; DO NOT PUT IN FORMALIN
Contact the Laboratory for transport media
Amniotic Fluid
Minimum 30 mL amniotic fluid required; store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE
Use multiple 15 mL centrifuge tubes or contact the lab for a sterile container
Blood (trisomy)
Requires 1-2 ml blood, to add additional testing would require an additional 1-2 ml blood; store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE
