Specimen Requirements
Villi
20 mg of villi in transport media provided; store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE; DO NOT PLACE in FORMALIN
Place specimen in transport media provided by Prenatal Lab (preferred) or use sterile Hanks, or sterile saline
Contact the Laboratory for transport media if necessary
Contact the Laboratory to arrange specimen delivery (tube to station 072, courier delivery or lab pick up)

Amniotic Fluid
Requires 20 mL of amniotic fluid. To add additional testing would require an additional 10 mL per test. Store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE
Use multiple 15 mL centrifuge tubes or contact the lab for a sterile container.
