Our Vision

Pathologists integrate subtle histologic cytomorphologic features and injury patterns associated with disease to render critical diagnoses for patient management. Elucidating the molecular basis of these pathognomonic phenotypes has enormous potential to yield exciting insights into disease pathogenesis. The goal of our research program is to leverage our unique expertise in human intestinal mucosal pathology across the disease spectrum to investigate unexplored dimensions of colorectal cancer initiation and epithelial biology. Our ultimate goal is to discover novel strategies to restore intestinal mucosal homeostasis and improve human health.
