Our Division
The Division of Cardiovascular Pathology has an extraordinarily rich history of creative research, diagnostic excellence, and quality fellow, resident and medical student education. In many ways, the division is a microcosm of the breadth and depth of excellence in the broader department. The two primary faculty in the Cardiovascular Division are Dr. Charles Steenbergen MD, PhD and Dr. Marc Halushka MD, PhD. Between them, they have over 50 years of cardiovascular research and clinical service in evaluating heart and blood vessel specimens. Both faculty members have strong collaborative experiences with cardiologists and other researchers both at Johns Hopkins and in the wider international research community.
