Dr. Atif Zaheer is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiological Science y at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Zaheer attended medical school at the Aga Khan University. This was followed by a radiology residency at the Beth Israel Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in abdominal imaging and intervention at the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

As faculty at the Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Zaheer is actively involved in research and education and believes in a multidisciplinary approach for evaluation of disease. He is clinically active in cross-sectional imaging of the body using CT, MRI and Ultrasound. He is involved in the multidisciplinary conferences for liver, pancreas and prostate. His research interests include imaging of tumors and inflammatory disorders of the pancreas. He has multiple publications, editorship, and invited reviews plus a highly respected text book “Pancreatic Imaging: A Pattern-Based Approach to Radiologic Diagnosis with Pathologic Correlation”.
