The research and clinical team collaborate closely with the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine here at Johns Hopkins to create unique educational tools for our patients and for research scientists.

The presentations below were created by art students as part of our efforts to educate the public. Some are older, while others were created more recently. We are keeping the older presentations up because, when compared to the more recent presentations, they nicely demonstrate the progress that has been made over the years!

At the end of this page you will find a selection of audio interviews.

Using circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) for the early detection of cancer

The team in the Sol Goldman Pancreatic Cancer Research Center at Johns Hopkins has developed and is currently testing a bold new approach for the early detection of cancer. The approach is based on the detection of small amounts of DNA released by small cancers into the blood stream. It is our hope that this approach will allow clinicians to detect small curable cancers. This test is currently under development and is not available clinically at this time.
