Specimen Requirements

Specimen:

     Bone Marrow
          - 2-3 mls in a Green top - Sodium Heparin tube
          - Send to tube station 072
          - Store room temperature (preferred), may be refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE

     Blood
          - 4 mls in a Green top - Sodium Heparin tube
          - Send to tube station 072
          - Store room temperature (preferred), may be refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE
 
     Tissue (FFPE)
          - For Panel: 2 H&E's and 10 unstained on plus slides (an H&E at beginning and end of unstained). 
          - For Individual probes: 1 H&E and 3 unstained on plus slides
          - Slides are delivered to ordering Pathologist to indicate on the H&E the area of invasive tumor to be analyzed.
          - The Pathologist will place the slides in the blue Cytogenetics bin in the Weinberg signout room to be picked up by the Lab.
          - Testing cut off: Monday, 9AM
