Specimen Requirements

Specimen
     Villi
          - 20 mg of villi in transport media provided; store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE;
          - DO NOT PLACE in FORMALIN
          - Place specimen in transport media provided by Prenatal Lab (preferred) or use sterile Hanks, or sterile saline
          - Contact the Laboratory for transport media if necessary
          - Contact the Laboratory to arrange specimen delivery (tube to station 072, courier delivery or lab pick up)

     Amniotic Fluid
          -Requires 20 mL of amniotic fluid. To add additional testing would require an additional 10 mL per test. Store at room temperature - DO NOT FREEZE
          - Use multiple 15 mL centrifuge tubes or contact the lab for a sterile container.
          - Contact the Laboratory to arrange specimen delivery (tube to station 072, courier delivery or lab pick up)
