Why We Love Baltimore
Baltimore is one of the most underrated cities in the country. Many who come to Baltimore for the first time are not sure what to expect, but for those of us that work and live here, Baltimore is a beautiful and historic city, full of friends, good food and drinks, and surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay.
Watch short videos by Mr. Johns Hopkins (yes, that is his name) introducing a few neighborhoods in Baltimore.
Featuring the Locust Point, Federal Hill, and Canton neighborhoods.
Featuring the Patterson Park, Mount Vernon, and Charles Village neighborhoods.
Let us show you what our Baltimore looks like.
"
Baltimore is a vibrant city that we love! With our beautiful waterfront, expansive parks, charming neighborhoods, diverse food culture, and world-class entertainment, arts, and sports scenes, you'll feel right at home here!"

Neighborhoods
We live all over the city in a variety of neighborhoods, each with its unique character. If you’re looking for a busy, bustling neighborhood with all-night food and drinks, live in Fells Point. If you want to live in modern high-rises overlooking the harbor, there’s Harbor East. Canton has townhomes with great restaurants around every corner, surrounding the huge Patterson Park. You can be surrounded by arts and music in Mount Vernon. Or live in the suburbs of Baltimore County. You can find the place you are most comfortable in because there are so many options!

Low Cost of Living
And because we’re underrated, all this is available on a resident’s salary! The cost of living compared to other cities with large Pathology programs is unbeatable!
The Inner Harbor
Baltimore is first and foremost a harbor town.
From almost anywhere in the city, you see the harbor stretching out to the Chesapeake Bay. Most of the neighborhoods that we live in are a short walk from the water. Baltimore Inner Harbor / Things To Do in Baltimore (Bing video)
History at Every Corner
This is a city full of history. From Fort McHenry to Fells Point, you can see the history in the architecture and streets of the city.
This history isn’t just for show. We live, eat, and hang out in these houses and on these streets.

Food & Fun
Crabs! There are so many good places to get fresh seafood all around Baltimore! From Dylan’s Oyster House to Thames Street Oyster House to L.P. Steamers, there is no end to all the delicious seafood one can have in Baltimore.
And better yet, we’re not limited to seafood. The Charleston, Cinghiale, Gertrude’s, La Cuchara, Woodberry Kitchen... the options for great eating are endless!
Breweries
With food comes drink. Baltimore hosts numerous breweries including Monument City Brewing and Union Craft Brewing. We don’t just buy beer from these places; this is where we hold our happy hours! We also have distilleries such as Sagamore Spirit Distillery. These institutions are not just faceless companies. They are a part of our community. Sagamore has actually been producing hand sanitizer for The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Many of us have their hand sanitizer with us at our desks, using it to protect ourselves from COVID-19.
Sports
Sports fans enjoy Orioles baseball, the Ravens football team and the Blast indoor soccer team, along with the yearly Governor's Cup yacht race on the Chesapeake Bay. The Preakness, second jewel in the Triple Crown of Horse Racing, is run each year at Pimlico Race Course. Hopkins lacrosse and University of Maryland football and basketball also enliven the sports scene.
